2007 National Medical Assisting Conference

Downtown Louisville

Muhammad has been the recipient of countless awards.  In addition to being honored by Amnesty International with their “Lifetime Achievement Award,” the Secretary-General of the United Nations bestowed him with a citation as “United Nations Messenger of Peace.”
He was also named the “International Ambassador of Jubilee 2000,” a global organization dedicated to relieving debt in developing nations. Former President Jimmy Carter has called Muhammad
“Mr. International Friendship” and, in 2005, Muhammad was
awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Muhammad’s dream to share his inspiration with the world is being realized through the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky.  The Center appeals to the heart, spirit, and imagination. It inspires both children and adults to form new commitments in their lives in areas of personal growth, integrity, and respect for others, and it gives them the tools to make these commitments happen.

Colonel Sanders
is the most beloved
gentleman in Kentucky, and the only fast
food franchiser honored with a bust in
the state capitol.

Washed-up and broke at 65, the Colonel
turned his fortunes around through hard
work, a tasty fried chicken recipe, and a
face that was a marketer's dream.

Who would have guessed that he would have made an appearance at the conference with Dawn and Linette?!

Sunday is not a day of rest for
our state reps.

Early in the morning they all go the House of Delegates to vote on changes to national and states by-laws, to vote for the CMAs that will represent us at the national level as officers of AAMA. Each person in attendance can make his/her statement at the public microphone and then the entire delegation votes on the matter at hand.
